Happy Birthday Barbie

In honor of Barbara Millicent Roberts turning 60 this year, The Hilton México City Santa Fe created a Barbie themed ”glamping“ room. Upon check-in I received a swag bag with Barbie themed goodies inside.

The hotel featured displays and lifesized portraits of Barbie around the lobby. There was a giant logo and Barbie shoe for photo opportunities. On the Barbie Room floor they rolled out the pink carpet. straight ahead was more dolls on display and an arrow pointing us to our glamping grounds.

The bed is a bunk bed camper, and the carpet is indoor grass. The room was designed for kids and equipped with dresses and toys to play with. I still, however, am a kid at heart, so this didn’t bother me.

There was a special reserved table in the restaurant just for us, and a reserved area at the pool, which was being renovated. I wasn’t as disappointed since the weather didn’t quite permit pool time.

The front desk customer service was amazing! I loved this city, so rich in culture. I look forward to visiting again.
