I love to travel. When I travel with friends, I prefer sharing a house as opposed to renting hotel rooms. So when we decided to head back to Jamaica to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, I wanted to make sure that we were in the same house as our guests. even though we had been to Jamaica three times already, this was the first time that we looked in to renting a villa instead of a hotel room. 

The search was exciting! The number of amazing villas in Jamaica was astonishing. My husband and I spent lots of time looking at houses and considering all of the details. Villas were 10K and up for our stay. We decided on Half Moon Bay since it was close to the beach and we wouldn’t have to find transportation just to see the ocean. One look at their website and the villas available and I knew I’d like to be at Half Moon. Each villa comes with housekeeping, butler service and a personal chef. The convenience of having hotel amenities was appealing too, just in case we wanted to eat out, or enjoy spa treatments. 

Reserving the house was no problem at all. We paid the deposit and they would take the remaining balance when we were 2 weeks out. Pre-arrival was a breeze too. We were assigned a pre-arrival concierge who took care of all of the arrangements, from transfers, to welcome day details. I made arrangements for all of our guests to be transferred to the resort for $20, and Half Moon also has a VIP waiting area until transportation is ready. 

Upon arrival, I met the chef, butler and housekeeper then I headed to the Megamarket to stock the fridge for the week. I also arranged our daily breakfast and a welcome dinner with our concierge. I consulted with our chef daily on dinner options. Dinners were lovely and our butler made sure that we had whatever we needed.

Having all of my guests under one roof was amazing. It was much easier to manage everyone and calls for meals were convenient. This was a fantastic birthday/anniversary trip.
