Baoli Miami

Miami is one of my favorite cities to visit. So what better place to start celebrating my birthday than there. My friend made reservations at Baoli. I thought we would go sit down for a civilized dinner and chat. I was in for a RUDE awakening. This was dinner and music for the beautiful people.

They seated us at a sofa booth, which was tight and cozy (my kind of seating). The cocktail menu was a unique mix. I started with a Lime and Lychee cocktail. Most people like heavy liquor, but this drink wasn’t too strong. I prefer a drink that is not as strong. So this worked for me.

I never really looked at the menu. My friends took over and ordered for the table. We started with the Crispy Rock Shrimp and Lobster Tempura, Tacos, Sweet and Spicy Edamame, Quinoa Salad, Kimchee Lime Tuna. YES, that’s what we started with! All so delicious.

Our friends ordered bottle service, which was a spectacle! They come out cheering with sparklers. I loved every minute of this lively environment. Every so often, the staff comes out and hands out sparklers. They get on the bar and shoot smoke into the air and pull people up to dance.

For dinner we all shared the Wagyu Beef Tomahawk, a GIANT bone-in steak that was sliced thin and full of favor. I know a steak is good when I don’t need steak sauce. The sides were amazing. I love a good starch! Either there were no veggies, or I just overlooked them because there was macaroni and cheese. The mac and cheese was so delicious, I only ate that. I apologize for only focusing on the truffle mac and cheese.

This place is not only dinner, there’s dancing and a live DJ. At Baoli, it is ok to dance on the tables and bar tops. I was standing on the sofa enjoying the music, and as soon as I wanted something sweet a Hangiri Golden Platter with sparklers came to the table. I just screamed at the sight of this dessert platter. Eight small desserts surrounded a fruit centerpiece. I dug right in, trying them all. I am not going name them all, you’ll have to go for yourself.

My friends have great taste and showed me a good time. I felt extra special and I can’t wait to go back!
