1. Charter a catamaran. The water was choppy because of the wind, but what beautiful views!

2. Rent a slingshot and explore the island. We put a spin on renting a car. Instead of renting a car, we rented a Slingshot for 6 hours. We cruised the Island, to see what we could see! This vehicle has no top, so don’t forget your sunscreen.

3. Look for sea turtles on the beach. They were everywhere on the beach near my hotel at The Fairmont Orchid. This was an easy find.

4. Visit Waipi’o Valley’s black sand beach. Hawaii is know for unique beaches. One is a black sand beach in the Waipai’o Valley. This beach is breathtaking. You can hike down and back up if your cardio is on point, but I cheated this time. We took a shuttle. I hiked it 20 years ago on my first trip to the big island. That was enough.

5. See the Petroglyphs in person. I just so happen to have Petroglyphs in walking distance of my hotel. So this one was easy. What a cool look at history.
